As you look to create contents and share other people’s content, make sure it falls in line with the 3 Ps every Facebook page should follow.
Following this strategy will help you to adjust to whatever algorithm changes Facebook throws your way.
- PERSONAL:getting personal with fans will help you connect with them on a whole new level. Share articles that touches you personally. Share reasons why it appeals to you. Be Conversational.
Post photos of employees enjoying their work & having fun.
Stories & interviews from employees
Photos of customers & others who do business with the company
Welcome notes to new team members / fans
Share your company’s story
Also Search for relevant contents in other group, Facebook pages, friend’s timeline or an external website and share. For an external website, remember to include the website’s address.
- PURPOSE: Whether humorous, promotional or informative, adding a sense of purpose to each of your posts will provide value for your fans.
Here are some examples of stuff you can post:
Industry tips, tricks & tutorials
Questions, opinions or quotes related to your niche
Photos related to your industry (your product, fans enjoying your product, etc.)
News or content from your industry
- PROMOTION: Now for the 3rd & final P, it’s time to post some contents promoting your business. There’s a reason why I put this in the 3rd position.
Have you noticed that pages filled with posts promoting their products and services hardly gets engagements and patronage? You probably have been doing it all these while. It’s time to, stop that and strategize.
Get personal, have a purpose before directly promoting your business. People just don’t want to be bombarded by ads wherever they go. They will tend to look past the ads.
And if your fans are always ignoring your promotional posts, it makes it far less likely that they’ll see (or engage with) your future posts.
Generally, People come to social media to get informed, entertained, inspired & educated. Make sure to fill your fans needs before you market to them.
But we all have to make promo posts sometimes — otherwise we starve, right?
When you are posting promotional posts, make sure to add your personality or customize a description.
Don’t just write “Buy it Now” or “limited time only”, impersonal message. ADD SOME PERSONALITY TO IT. Provide details about the products, clearly mention the value they will get from using your product, share testimonials too and finally encourage them to take action.
RECIPE FOR THE 3 P’s
Now that you understand the all-important 3 P’s, it’s time to create some posts.
Here’s a suggestion for you:
- 2 Purpose posts
- 1 Personal post
- 1 Promo post
That means you post 2 or 3 non-promo posts before you push a product/service to your fans. Or 60% non-promotional posts and 40% promotional posts.
